NYC Photo Shoot February 2017
NYFW February 2017
So exciting to return to New York City for Fashion Week. Loved walking the runway again and seeing New York City in the Wintertime!
LAFW October 2016
I had a great time at Los Angeles Fashion Week! I modeled for ART HEARTS FASHION. I was given a VIP pass to sit front row for all the Runway Shows. Sean from “Born This Way” joined me for the final day!
In September, we were on a family vacation in Maui and by chance met photographer Patty Holbrook, who set up an impromptu photo shoot. Thanks, Patty for the beautiful shots. You can see more of her work here.
New York Fashion Week, August 2016
New York Fashion Week was so much fun! Chelsea got to open and close the show. The last photo is Chelsea with Reshma Qureshi. Reshma is from India. She survived a horrific acid attack. Chelsea spent the day with her and she was so kind to Chelsea. At the after party she was swarmed by press and photographers the entire time. Chelsea kept wanting to go see her. Finally Chelsea walked up to her and said “you are so beautiful.”

2016 Olympic Trials
In July 2016, I was asked to perform a demonstration at the Gymnastics Olympic Trials. The trials took place in San Jose, CA at the SAP Pavilion.
It was great to watch the gymnasts and the excitement was unbelievable! This was so motivating for me to see how talented they all were. I can’t wait to see them represent team USA in Rio!
H&M Shoot, Cuba
A few months ago we were asked if Chelsea would be interested in doing a campaign for a clothing company. It turned out to be for H&M. Chelsea was flown to Havana, Cuba to film her segment. The campaign is called ‘For Every Victory’. It’s for High Performance Sportswear. The campaign features inspirational personalities who have achieved their victories in sports through adversities. The campaign will be released around the same time as the Rio Olympic Games 2016.
Universal Pictures in conjunction with the Today Show were looking for individuals who had overcome obstacles and were inspirational in the process. The movie “Unbroken” was being released and it featured the life story of “Louie” Zaperini. Louis was an Olympic runner and a WWII hero. It was a story of survival, inspirations, and resilience. My coach of many years, Dawn Pombo, submitted my story.
My story was chosen out of thousands of submissions. My life story was showcased on the Today Show.
My family and I were flown to Los Angeles for the premier of the movie “Unbroken”. It was very exciting. I met some World War II heroes which was very exciting. My favorite part of the night was when Brad Pitt asked me if I would take a picture with him.
Worlds Italy, 2015
November 2015 I traveled to Milan, Italy to defend my “WORLD” title at the Down Syndrome International World Championship. The United States along with 22 other countries were represented at the event.
I trained extremely hard to perfect all of my routines. I took gold on uneven bars, gold on vault, gold on floor, silver on beam and gold on the most prestigious event “ALL AROUND”.
I was very proud to represent team USA. I was holding back tears as they played the United States National Anthem as I received my award. It was very exciting to meet gymnast throughout the world and all come together for such an amazing event!
